Libraries
We aim to create safe spaces that foster and encourage reading in impoverished areas of Nicaragua. We want to design intentional areas that will allow children and adults to disappear into another world created by books. Our hope is to provide our communities with a place where students are not only free, but are also encouraged, to investigate their curiosities.
Arts and Theatre
We are thrilled to offer classes that students will not find in their schools. Cuentos partners with Teatro Catalina to provide a thriving theater and dance program. We also host art classes, connecting each art project with a book.
Teacher Resources
We want to provide our teachers with the necessary tools to meet the needs of each child in his or her classroom. Each grade level is full of different learning styles, and we strive to equip teachers with a variety of resources to meet the needs of each student.
Weekly Classes
We aspire to raise the literacy rate within our communities through various academic channels. We offer ways for students to engage more in subjects, as well as seeking out different avenues to educate adults in the community.
