Our goal is to make theatre & the arts accessible and to inspire change in the community.

We believe that reading is the foundation of education, and education is the foundation of hope.

In impoverished areas of Latin America, education is rarely a priority. Books aren’t common in classrooms or homes, and students are starved for a story. We’re here to change that. Find out how you can join our team.

We know that minds need movement! Our library has become a beautiful space that celebrates reading, dance, theater, and art– and now we want to add athletics to the mix.

Your gift will help us to start a Little League team in El Chonco that will get to compete with surrounding communities. Your generosity will support the purchase of equipment and the maintenance of our little volcano sandlot.

Books

We aim to create safe spaces filled with a varitey of books that foster and encourage reading in impoverished areas of Nicaragua.

Literacy

We aspire to raise the literacy rate within our communities through various academic channels.

Salaries

We hope to support our librarian and teachers with salaries above the national average.

Courses

We offer ways for students to engage more in subjects that interest them through math, science, theater, and art classes, in addition to daily story hour and open reading time.

Empowerment

We strive to equip library teachers and local school teachers with a variety of resources to meet the needs of each student.

Facilities

We provide a stand out indoor space, complete with power, air-conditioning, and indoor plumbing, as well as an outdoor garden area.
