The Number of Classes Taught Per Week
Our teachers are hosting classes daily, and their supply needs vary per class. We would like to support our teachers with a base salary of $200 a month, providing an additional $25 for travel expenses from the main city.
Class supply needs vary, so we ask that our teachers submit budget requests. Certain classes culminate with larger events (art shows, plays, dance performances, etc.) and those events come with additional costs.
Buildings and New Projects
Power, water, and general maintenance of our building costs an average of $200 monthly. We would like to maintain a fund not only to pay these bills, but to remain covered in case of emergency.
We have big dreams of building a large rancho on our new property! It will serve as a meeting host for the local Parent Teacher association, an area for important community celebrations, and a space for all big library events. This new construction will require the demolition of an existing structure, land leveling, and a significant concrete pour. We have a current construction estimate of $200,000.

Supply Support
Recent regulations from Nicaraguan custody officials have made it more difficult to travel with donated classroom supplies and books. Therefore, we will have to purchase most of our supplies in country, where there can be significant mark ups. Books are not always readily available in the nearest city, and the most reliable bookstore is 3.5 hours away. This fund also helps to cover the travel fee into Managua as well as the cost of the books themselves.

- Additional books, paper, pencils, student notebooks etc.
